Palo Alto Craftsman

This project was constructed for a client that wanted to preserve the design integrity of the existing house in the new structure built adjacent to it. The existing house was a 100-year-old Craftsman-style structure with many of the appointments that define the houses of that period. The architect designed the new two-story garage and apartment to match exactly, and Warren Construction built the structure accordingly. The structures, landscaping, stone and brick walls, and walkways have defined this property as a landmark in Palo Alto. We carefully budgeted and scheduled this project in concert with the architect. We self-performed the framing, exterior shingle and wood trim finish, and window installation, as well as all interior cabinet and interior trim installation.
